Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located in the Gamaodeng area to the south of Ziqu and to the north of Mohai, Zaduo County, Qinghai Province.It was named by the 2nd Regional Geological Survey Party of Qinghai Province.


Lithology and Thickness

Volcaniclastics and clastics. Composed of yellow-brown dacitic agglomerate, volcanic breccia lava, dacite, grey slate, quartz-sandstone and bio-limestone. Thickness is over 448 m.

Lower contact

Uncertain contact with the underlying strata of upper Devonian
